I think the myth that Islamic terrorists are made up of poor, underprivileged people who are angry at Westerners for being more affluent and prosperous can finally be put to bed. In the aftermath of the failed London car bomb and the successful (fortunately with no casualties) car bomb in Glasgow this past week, we're finding, as of this writing, that six of the eight suspects arrested so far are doctors, three of whom were from Iraq, Jordan and India. An unconfirmed report says that two others were physicians-in-training. In addition, they were directly recruited by Abu Hamza al-Muhajir, the present leader of al Qaeda in Iraq.

That won't stop the mainstream media or PC-conscious government officials from emphasizing that these extremists are not connected with Islam.
